[Saito Hitori] 4 Ways to Increase the Probability of Becoming Rich (4/4)

Thinking about evading taxes will make money stop coming in

So, here’s the fourth point. Let’s say a lot of money starts coming in. It has come in. Saying that I don’t mind paying taxes… You get it? When you eat a lot, you naturally produce a lot of waste, right? Well, that’s obvious. So, you constantly think about how to avoid producing waste and research it. When you do that, you naturally end up eating less. So, in essence, if you dislike expelling waste, the excess that your body absorbs becomes taxes. So, the more taxes increase, the more excess remains. When you think hard about how to evade or reduce taxes, the money stops coming in.

When you’re in a higher position, you need to be generous, or others won’t support you

And then, whether it’s CDs or anything else, I give people right? This is because when you do lectures or release CDs, it brings in more money than publishing. So, let’s say you sell this. And there are plenty of people selling it. Do those people have more money than me? I don’t think so. Do you understand?

And then, there’s the level of your current lifestyle. I co-authored a book with Emiko-san, for example, and I’ve never received a single yen from it. No, really. What I’m trying to say is, if I’m making a living through publishing, it’s fine to say, “Emiko, I’ll take half.” But if you become Japan’s top taxpayer and ask for a little from what your disciple wrote, you’ll be disliked. Really. Even for lectures or anything, Emiko asks me to talk, but I don’t receive any money. I really don’t take money. So, it’s not that people who take money are bad. In Japan, it’s not good just to win. Even in sumo wrestling or anything, when you become a Yokozuna top position, if a young person charges at you, you mustn’t elegantly sidestep and trip them up, right? You mustn’t trip them up. You must take their charge, fight fairly, and win. But when you rise to the top, if you do things that make people dislike you, others won’t support you. Do you understand?

When you’re in a higher position, you need the generosity to let the other person shine

And when you become a president or something, you must pretend you can’t do things you can do. This is what I mean by letting them shine. If you say, “I’m better at this,” the other person will lose their individuality. Even if you can do something, pretend you can’t and say, “You’re amazing.” As you keep saying that, little by little, the other person will get better. Do you understand? You really need mental flexibility. When you lack mental flexibility, you don’t think about trivial things. When you’re tired, you think about serious matters. When you’re not having fun, you’re definitely tired. When you start feeling better, you start thinking about interesting things. Today too, I was thinking, “What’s the most inappropriate name for a standing bar?” When you think about silly things, time flies by. So, you see tired middle-aged men on the train, right? I don’t think they’re thinking about silly things.

Ways to Increase Your Chances of Becoming Wealthy (Summary)

Listen up, let’s go over this one more time. You see, having biases against money affects people. If you start envying those who are doing well, good things won’t happen to you, and you won’t prosper. Do you understand?

When something good happens to someone, just say, “Good for you.” It’s a good thing when more than expected happens. Do you understand? You see, there are people who become rich just because they were born into a good family. So why does everyone aspire to be a prince? If that charming prince happened to be a carpenter or something, would you still admire him? It’s not about which one is more dignified as a person. That’s why having passive income is a good thing for humans. We might not even know if they did something good in a past life. You might not know, but they might be doing good things in places you’re unaware of. It’s an eternal connection from past lives.

Right now, you’re probably feeling envy. Stop that envy.

God provides opportunities in your family and your surroundings. It’s God’s test. When these opportunities arise, will you feel envy? Can you say, “Good for you”? Your life will change. You must pass God’s test. Understand?

That’s one thing.

And then, stop thinking that you have no worth. Humans have worth. It doesn’t matter if your grades are bad or if your health isn’t perfect. I don’t know anything about that. Humans have worth. I’ve known that all along. Even teachers at school made tremendous efforts to hurt me. But I wasn’t hurt. Why? Because I’m an extraordinary person (laughs).

Well, that’s all there is to it. But everyone, even if you can’t do everything, just do one thing: when something good happens to someone, say, “Good for you.” If you think, “I’m a worthless person,” is it right to say that even though everyone has a precious soul? Do you understand?

“I’m unlucky” or “I have no luck” – when a person says these things, are you acknowledging the worth in that person? If you keep doing that, there’s no need to come here or listen to me. Do you understand?

Humans have worth. Even if you don’t recognize it, I believe you have worth, so I’m speaking with all my heart.

And with that, the lecture is over.
